We operate our services from several facilities in Edinburgh and Midlothian, comprising 6 individual properties, along with extensive grounds and gardens. The Estate Maintenance Manager is responsible for the upkeep of the facilities, to ensure that the buildings and grounds are kept safe, tidy and in good order, and that all the systems are in compliant working condition. Much of this involves a direct “hands-on” approach to personally undertake routine tasks such as grounds maintenance, and a regular schedule of fabric upkeep, which will be in part planned/preventative in nature, and in part reactive when repair and replacement is required. In addition, where work is required that involves outside contractors, such as electrical or gas maintenance and repairs, the Estate Maintenance Manager will organise and oversee the successful conclusion to these visits. Working hours are generally Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm, but due to the nature of this role, some flexibility may occasionally be required, or involve evenings or weekends. As a Christian charity, the post holder must be able to work within our Christian ethos and values. This role reports to the Operations Manager. Salary on application.
